AND CHILDREN
(CORE PROGRAMME)
⭐ 2️⃣ GOOD GOVERNANCE AND
ACCOUNTABILITY
(CROSS-CUTTING THEME)
Health and nutrition for women and children form the central focus of ICTF’s programming. We are committed to improving maternal and child health outcomes through community-based, evidence-informed interventions that address preventable health challenges and malnutrition among vulnerable populations.
PROGRAMME RATIONALE
Women and children remain the most affected by poor access to nutrition, health education, and preventive care in underserved communities. These challenges undermine family well-being and long-term development outcomes. ICTF’s Health & Nutrition programme is designed to address these gaps through practical, scalable, and culturally appropriate solutions.

Maternal and child nutrition education
Community health awareness and preventive care
Hygiene and sanitation promotion
Nutrition support and maternal health outreach
Health screening and community sensitization activities
Distribution of essential health supplies

Improved nutrition knowledge and practices among women and caregivers
Reduced risk of malnutrition and preventable health conditions
Increased utilization of basic health services
Stronger community ownership of health and nutrition practices.
APPROACH
ICTF implements this programme in collaboration with local health institutions, community leaders, and caregivers, ensuring that interventions are community-driven, inclusive, and aligned with national health priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2 and 3).Our work is anchored on one core programme area, supported by a cross-cutting governance framework that guides all activities.
Good governance and accountability are not stand-alone activities at ICTF; they are embedded across all programmes and operations. As a new organization, ICTF is intentionally building strong systems from inception to ensure responsible use of resources, transparency, and donor confidence.
